For the processing of aluminum parts, the cutting tools are generally required to be relatively sharp. If the material strength of your tool is relatively strong, you should choose a larger rake angle. The advantage of this choice is that the tool can be sharpened faster, and on the other hand, the tool with a larger rake angle will cause less deformation to the material during processing. It can make the machining accuracy higher and chip removal more convenient. At the same time, the cutting resistance is also very small, which is beneficial to reduce the temperature of the workpiece. Under normal circumstances, it is absolutely not allowed to use tools with negative rake angles for processing.
