The biggest difference between blanking and punching is that the punched plate will not be thrown away, and the punched plate is the final component.
Blanking can also be directly understood as re-cutting and manufacturing on small or medium-sized metal plates cut from large pieces.
Many metal stamping companies usually carry out blanking before doing other things for the project. After blanking, the manufacturer will carry out other metal stamping stages, such as extrusion and bending.
Blanking can also further improve production capacity and efficiency. For example, when there are mass manufacturing orders, the blanking method is not only easy and convenient in the manufacturing process, but also relatively high quality and precision materials.
Of course, there are still common problems in the manufacturing process, such as uneven edges, burrs, etc., but there are solutions, such as thermal deburring, manual deburring and/or vibration methods.
These are not big problems for professional hardware stamping factories.
